Job Opening: Assistant Professor of Ethics, Villanova

The Ethics Program of Villanova University seeks candidates for a continuing, non-tenure-track position. Responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load with the core Ethics course (ETH 2050) as the primary responsibility, plus additional service for the program. A Ph.D. is preferred, though Ph.D. candidates will be considered. After the first year, the position is renewable in three-year increments. Candidates should have either expertise in Christian ethics, with competency to teach Western philosophical ethics, or expertise in Western philosophical ethics, with competency to teach Christian ethics. A person with competency in voices that are traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized is desirable. Application documents should include a cover letter indicating competencies noted above, a C.V., unofficial graduate transcripts, evidence of teaching excellence, a statement concerning the candidate’s contribution to advancing the mission of Villanova University, and two letters of recommendation.
